Distribution automation system mainly
consists of main substation, data communication system and distribution
automation remote terminations, the remote termination is the connection port
between automation system and primary equipment.
BC3600-I
distribution automation remote termination (hereinafter called FTU) as
the core unit of distribution automation system, mainly perform the functions
of local acquisition of AC measured parameters (such as voltage, current,
power, energy and etc) and status parameters (such as the position of breaker,
charging status of the operating mechanism), and execute the command from
remote control center (such as: tripping the breaker)
FTU
can choose RS232、RS48、power line wave carrier、or optical fiber (optical MODEM self-provided,
able to communicate directly with optical fiber), the FTU can connect with
SCADA of main substation, and perform the protective and supervision functions
on distribution line.
FTU is widely used in the 10KV distribution
line, to supervise the load switch, sectionalizer, or interconnection switch of
ring main system.

design theory for the microcomputer protection hardware, several new
technologies have been used to improve the reliability of hardware, main CPU is
DSP chipset, any output signal will be dual supervised, to avoid the errors.

anti-interference: The parts of device to connect
outside adopt several treatments such as electromagnetic isolation, optical
isolation and etc, to improve the anti-interference ability.

intelligence: The software contains several smart
calculations, which can still perform fault disconnection, network reconstruction,
power supply auto recovery and etc even if the communication function of this
device is lost; it can save 5 sets of definite values at maxi, smart lower
value definition is used, very convenient and reliable.

accuracy: The measurement unit adopts the
professional high precise chipset, protection unit used hi-speed, high accurate
A/D conversion module, when input signal changing within 45~55Hz, it can
perform the data acquisition normally.

extensibility: The typical configuration of
FTU can be based on one or two feeders, and able to extend the outputs
according user request, the whole device has such advantages as low power
consumption, small size, easy to install, able to cooperate with different
switches, suitable for different working sites and etc.
Intelligent control mode,
support two kinds of control modes: remote central control and local
logic control mode; it can perform automatic distribution independent of
communication system, also used as backup for central control mode; absorbed
the merits of these two control modes, the local control mode remain
valid while the communication line from remote control center has fault or
other problem.
Local logic control mode
covering: current-time type, voltage-time type, current & voltage - time
type (you can choose any one)
Current-time type: quick
trip, time delayed trip, definite time limit over-current, inverse time limit
over-current, later speed-up trip, quick trip under zero-sequence fault, time
delayed trip under zero-sequence fault, definite time limit
over-current under zero-sequence fault, inverse time limit over-current under
zero-sequence fault, reclosing (1~3 cycles), under-voltage tripping,
over-voltage tripping, zero-sequence over-voltage tripping.
Voltage-time type: T1 time
limit interlocked, two power sources interlocked, T3 instantaneous increased
voltage interlocked, T2 time limit interlocked.
Current & voltage -
time type: T1 time limit interlocked, two power sources interlocked, T3
instantaneous increased voltage interlocked, T2 time limit interlocked (with
current detection function).
